Congratulations Haitian Youth Robotics Team!

Thanks to everyone who joined FLANBWAYAN and Haitian Women for Haitian Refugees on April 15th to celebrate the Haitian students from the robotics team at It Takes A Village Academy in Brooklyn.

You helped the students meet their goal and supported them on their wonderful venture to St. Louis.

Following their win in early March at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan, a group of 12 students from ITAVA challenged themselves further by participating in the Worlds US First Tech Challenge competition in St. Louis on April 27.  The students were trained in the NYU-Poly’s Central Brooklyn Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics Initiative, which is funded by the Brooklyn Community Foundation.
